Born in Novosibirsk, Russia, my passion for animation started early with Tom & Jerry and Woody Wood Pecker reruns on my grandparent’s tiny television set. From there, my parents and I moved to the US and I got introduced to Warner Brothers Looney Toons and Disney animated films. I grew up with Calvin and Hobbes as my means of escape because I was too shy to speak English to the other kids.  During high school I would often draw during class to pass the time and had no idea what I would do for a living. I signed up as a Graphic Design major when going into college but quickly was converted to an Animation/Illustration student when I met my future professor. A few years passed by and I graduated from San Jose State University in May 2012 with a BFA degree in Animation/Illustration.  I moved to Colorado for a few months after school to take a break and really dive into my artwork. Since then, I’ve been living in the San Francisco Bay Area, California animating and exploring another passion of mine; rock climbing.
